When my sister was here earlier this month and we went to the Nationals/Mets series, we had a little discussion about something we both find utterly annoying.

Pink hats.




The Nationals are red, white, and blue. The Mets are orange and blue. See 'pink' listed anywhere? No. So why are there pink hats available for all professional sports teams?

One of my friends at the game on the 4th actually had one of these on. I mean, she might as well have had a scrunchie in, or a banana clip. All are bad.

This past weekend, I found another person on the same side of the fence as my sister and me. He was talking to a ‘fan’ with a pink hat on when I approached. He asked me if I was aware when the team had changed their colors to pink and white. I said, “Don’t even get me started."

True fans would never sport one of these... I like to think so anyway.

Down with pink hats.
