I must confess. I sneezed this morning and, as I was taught, covered my mouth. My fatal error came when I used not one hand, but two. Two infected hands. Two hands ready to touch my keyboard and mouse and door handles. What was I thinking? If my sister had seen that, she would have wasted no time amputating my hands. Here's what to do if this happens to you, courtesy of Bill:
1) First, quarantine yourself from the rest of your office. Wrap scotch tape around your hands so as to lock in the germs.
2) Run to the bathroom. Do not walk. Do not make eye contact with others. Do not touch anything.
3) Ask a friend to run the water for you. Do not tell them why you are asking or they may run away for fear of contamination. Ask them to run the water on the hottest possible setting.
4) Run hands under scalding hot water for about 25-30 minutes, scrubbing as hard as possible. Scrub until all the skin on both hands is completely red. Bleeding may result.
5) Go to a local church and ask for a priest to exorcise you.
6) Burn all your clothes.
7) Die.
I've completed 1-6. #7 will just have to wait! I've got too much going on. Right now, I'm killing time until this day is over and I can start my weekend. It's been a rough week. I'm not used to working a full week during the summer season. To make up for it, I'm only working three days next week.
For this weekend... tonight I'm having drinks with Susan at Sign of the Whale (where I will be guest bartending sometime this summer!), then dinner at the Palm for Billy's birthday. John's in town - YEAH!!! Tomorrow, a baby shower - normally a dreaded event, however the parents to be aren't in to the typical shower. This will be at a restaurant (Rosa Mexicano - mmmmm), co-ed, and really just an excuse to get together. They didn't even register! I'll pick up a gift certificate to Babies-R-Us on my way there. A gift certificate = minimal exposure to the store. I tried to shop there once for another shower. I almost fell ill. I have no idea what some of that stuff is.
Rounding out the weekend, I'm heading to my beach house! On a Sunday?, you ask. Yes. Billy, Steph, and I are heading out because we have tickets to see Foreigner (sans Lou Gramm) at the Bottle and Cork Sunday night. Jukebox Hero!
Oh, and 2DM lost last night. I haven't seen a write-up from Rick yet. I don't think he was pleased with Brian's decision to call the came in the 6th because we ran out of beer. We were well on our way to a loss anyway.
Good weekends to all!

After going to Disney & riding on a plane last month I can give you a good tip for the sneeze/germ thing, to avoid all that scalding & exorcism nonsense- PURELL!! Carry it with you everywhere, it's a life saver (literally). I couldn't imagine being without it in all those kid-infested places.
Happy Birthday Billy!
TGIF fo' sho' Happy weekend girl.
