Year in Review
What a year... some interesting things. Here we go, in short.
January - what better way than to kick off the year with a Bon Jovi show. And in Buffalo. The only way to tolerate the frozen tundra.
February - Kathie turned 30! But before that happened I saw Bon Jovi again, but in DC. Then what you ask? Well, see turns out the band was staying in town a couple of nights and coincidentally, I ended up in their hotel. I know, bizarre, right?
March - All I did is celebrate St. Patrick's Day for the entire month, basically. Old Town, Arlington, Dewey.
April - Kicked off with Opening Day at Shea. OMG, it was cold. But it's the Mets, and they are worth it. I saw Billy Joel for the first time... for free... 100 level. Such a good show.
May - The 2006 Beach Season kicked off in May. I just love it. Beach weekends are like no other.
June - A lot of beach in June. One weekend included some time in Ocean City. We had a lot of fun, but I would NOT choose to spend a lot of time there. Face it, Dewey is the end all, beat all. (Too bad it's in jeopardy... more to come on this in 007.)
July - What a month! First of all, 4th of July weekend. Weekend... um, it was 5 days long. Booze Cruise 3, Cowboy Mouth, and Kathie visited. Too fun. Mid-July, Bon Jovi in Philly. End of July, Bon Jovi in New Jersey. Giants Stadium, floor seats, 3 hour show. Unbelievable.
August - MY BIRTHDAY! And what did I get? The best gift was free, but left a mark. I was at a Mets/Nats game and ended up with a screaming, line-drive foul ball. The best part... it was off a Met. Amazing! Mid-month I had family visit and that was really nice. I wish more would come. There's so much to see and do, plus the free place to stay? Come on!
September - End of the summer.
October - Early in the month, THE BEST WEEKEND EVER. Our Put-In Bay weekend. It's really too much to tell. After that though... I mourned the loss of the Mets' chances to the World Series. Ugh, that was tough. So, so tough.
November - I went to NYC for the MY Marathon. What a cool experience. Especially to see a loved one run it. Oh Lance... oops, I mean, uh, way to go John! I'm so proud of you.
December - Ah, the holiday season. Parties to go to, parties to work, dinner/get-togethers to plan, shopping to be done... makes the month a blur. But once it was all done, and I was home... all good. Oh, and the biggest news of the month, ironic really... my current employer bought my former employer, so I'm working on my old job in my new job. It's still so weird to me. When will I wake up?
Here's to an even better 007. Good night 2006. Good night Mary Ellen. Good night Tina. Good night Karen. Good night John Boy.
